Nature Moods

A warm welcome to you and I'm pleased that you found to me,

On this web presence and on the German-language counterpart www.naturstimmungen.de you will find a selection of my photos that I took during my forays into nature, volunteer activities as well as on my travels* and short trips. So I always try to capture the moods of nature photographically.

The photographic portfolio ranges from simple documentary recordings to sophisticated photographic works.

With my photos and documentation I want to inspire others for nature and its protection.

These include unique wildlife shots, beautiful landscape shots and plant pictures, as well as enchanting sunrises and sunsets.

As for example the sunset over the gulf of Mexico, captured from the probably most famous coast promenade of the world, the Malec n de la Habana. The rising sun over the south Chinese sea near Mui Ne at the Vietnamese east coast is not less impressive.

In the scope of the macro photography I am presenting you unique perspectives from gorgeous flowers. Furthermore I lead you into the world of the insects, dragonflies and other inhabitants of the small cosmos.

Landscape photography is a further interesting topic with which I am dealing with myself. Not least, because sunrises and sunsets are assigned to this area. Beyond that you will find impressive photographs of nature landscapes and as well as of city landscapes.

A regular visit of nature moods will be worthwhile, since I add again and again new works respectively I extend this Web presence.

Your Uwe Müller

About me

I am an amateur photographer and I am photographing ever since I am 14 years old, that means since 1978. We were two friends, who discovered the world of photographing, but after two years our paths separated unfortunately. I had begun at that time with a used ZENITH EM (made in Moscow) with a 50mm lens for DEM 230.--. Later I bought additional a Kenko 2x converter, a Agfa flash and two close-up lenses. On this SRL I have learned the photographing from scratch. The ZENITH EM was fully mechanical and this SRL used also no batteries, therefore all settings had to be made manually. I photographed so pretty much everything, what with this equipment was possible and I read many books and magazines to the topic of photography. The Internet medium did not really exist at that time.
After some years of the trying (approx. 4 years) I developed the interest and the passion to the nature and animal photography, which I acted a couple of years out. For this I purchased step by step the analog photo equipment which is specified below. Vocationally conditionally I put my equipment some time (approx. 5 years) aside and I found later the re-entry to the photography during my vacation trips. Thereby a broad photographic interest was developed, whereas the special addiction to the nature and animal photography was kept.
In order to show my Photos over a larger distance and any time to my friends and the family the idea was born to program a web presence. I bought a couple of books over HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript, furthermore I informed me additionally in the Internet and tried to develop a web page. I confine oneself on HTML and CSS and I realized in December 2002 my ideas. On February 8th, 2003, I published my first internet presence.
In January of the year 2006 I changed from the analog photography to the digital photography. Due to the proximity Frankfurt airport took I my first digital photographs there. During photographing around and in the airport I became acquainted with a small group of Plane Spotter better; and they inducted me in the world of the airplane photography.
However, taking photos of airplanes was not very satisfactory in the long run and my passion for nature and animal photography left me with no peace. So I concentrated more and more on the neighboring forest area at Frankfurt Airport. On walks I discovered and observed fallow deer and wild boar, as well as a variety of other interesting animals and plants. At the beginning of 2007 I began to specifically observe and photograph the fallow deer at Frankfurt Airport. Well and also one or the other wild boar. Since then I have mainly been doing nature and animal photography again.
At the beginning of 2010 I began to discover the Hinterlandswald and the Wispertal (a large natue area near by Wiesbaden) and was immediately enthusiastic about this natural gem in the Rhine-Main area. Later I joined the NABU group Schlangenbad (later renamed into NABU group Untertaunus) and wanted to support them with my observations and nature documentation. Since the Hinterlandswald had grown to my heart, I signed up as a volunteer conservation area supervisor (similar to an Park Ranger) in the NABU Landesverband Hessen for the FFH area Wispertaunus, as well as the FFH areas Steigwiesen, Guntal and southern forest near Presberg. So I'm mainly on the move in the Taunusstein, Schlangenbad, Bad Schwalbach, Heidenrod and the above-mentioned areas, but also somewhere completely different. It remains further exciting .......
